How to Share Client Photo Galleries Straight From Google Drive

A step-by-step guide to delivering client photo and video galleries from a Google Drive folder — no re-uploads, no storage fees, and automatic syncing.

If you already back up your shoots to Google Drive, you're sitting on the simplest client-delivery system there is. Instead of re-uploading gigabytes of photos to yet another platform — and paying for the storage twice — you can turn the Drive folder you already have into a polished, shareable gallery. Here's how the workflow looks with Gemmini.

Why deliver from Google Drive?

Traditional gallery platforms ask you to upload every image a second time. That means duplicate storage, long upload waits, and a monthly bill that scales with how much you shoot. Delivering from Drive flips the model:

  • No re-uploads. The files stay exactly where you put them.
  • No storage fees. Google already hosts the media and serves the bandwidth.
  • Always in sync. Add or remove a photo in the folder and the gallery updates itself.

Step 1: Share the folder

In Google Drive, right-click the folder for a given client, choose Share, and under General access set it to "Anyone with the link" as a Viewer. This is what lets Gemmini read the file list without anyone signing in.

Step 2: Create the gallery

From your Gemmini dashboard, click New Gallery, give it a title, and paste the Drive folder link. Optionally set a password and add your website and social links. Gemmini extracts the folder ID, generates a short shareable URL, and you're done.

Step 3: Send one link

Your client opens the link, enters the password if you set one, and browses a clean, mobile-first gallery with a fullscreen lightbox and a download button. No account, no app, no friction.

What gets stored?

Only metadata: the title, the folder ID, your links, and a hashed password. The photos themselves never touch Gemmini's servers — Google Drive remains the single source of truth, which keeps everything fast and private.

That's the whole workflow. Shoot, back up to Drive as you already do, and deliver in under a minute.
